The world is changing fast and policymakers on both sides of the Atlantic face a wide range of challenges; be it holding at bay the spectra of secular stagnation, lowering inequality, defining frameworks to manage new technologies or addressing migration and climate change.

In this 3rd edition of the EU and US perspectives conference series, the policy choices being put in place in the US and the EU will be contrasted, and there will be a debate on whether these will ultimately deliver sustainable outcomes.

This conference is jointly organized by Columbia's Center on Global Economic Governance, the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Monetary and Finance Forum (SUERF), and Sociéte Générale.

Confirmed speakers include Lorenzo Bini Smaghi, Société Générale, Olivier de Boysson, Société Générale, Ambroise Fayolle, European Investment Bank, Peter Praet, European Central Bank, Jeffrey Sachs, Earth Institute at Columbia University, Andrew McDowell, European Investment Bank and Joseph Stiglitz, Columbia University.
