What place for human labor in tomorrow’s societies?

While the 2014 Edition of the New World Forum focused on new forms of labor, this session will examine the place and the role of human labor in tomorrow’s societies. What is the future of human labor?

Will the value of labour and salaried employment keep their historically leading role in our economies? Should this not be the case, what would the future of our societies look like?

Will our societies be in a position to create sufficient jobs to ensure long-lasting full employment or, on the contrary, will mass unemployment be our ultimate horizon?

Should the place of work strongly evolve what would happen to its underlying roles such as the individual’s social integration, emancipation and self-fulfillment? What reforms would be needed in that case?
