Pier Carlo Padoan, Minister of Economy and Finance in Italy, will deliver a lecture on Europe's ongoing economic crisis and how to contribute to economic growth. Welcome and Introductory Remarks to be given by Merit E. Janow, Dean of the School of International and Public Affairs. Following the remarks and lecture, Minister Padoan will participate in a discussion with Jan Svejnar, Director of the Center on Global Economic Governance and James T. Shotwell Professor of Global Political Economy at Columbia University, and Kemal Dervis, Vice President and Director, Global Economy and Development at The Brookings Institution.

The event is part of the Ambassador Donald and Vera Blinken Lecture Series on Global Governance.
